... a January 25, 1533 , Henry VIII and Anne Boleyn marrying in the strictest privacy, which is like the Kings were married at the time. Wreaths were lavish, but the marriage ceremony in question was quite private. The newly appointed Archbishop of Canterbury, Thomas Cranmer, officiated the ceremony. Although it was not until the month of May of that year, when Cranmer himself, announced the annulment of marriage Catherine of Aragon, without waiting for the resolution that was taking place in Rome, and so would validate the marriage of Anne Boleyn and King.
You see, in this case, things got a little backwards, following the impatience of the king to marry Anne, to beget a male heir soon ;-)
